The Ministry of National Defence, by its constitutional role, has to take all necessary measures for the security of the country and its citizens, regardless of the circumstances; and this is what it does.

It is reminded that the Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias has put forward the launch of a multileveled defence dome for the country, with antiballistic capabilities, ever since he took office.

This launch is part of a holistic approach named “Achilles Shield”, which aims at enabling the country to face modern threats, and is already underway in the context of “Agenda 2030”, following the approval of the new Force Structure plan, and the twelve-year armament programme, by the Hellenic Parliament and the Governmental Council for Foreign Affairs and Defence.

The relocation of certain weapon systems obviously cannot be included in public dialogue.
