Following an order of the Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Kamenos, a three-day mourning period has been declared in the Armed Forces; flags are flown at half-mast.
The Minister of National Defence contacted the President of the Republic Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Prime Minister Mr. Alexis Tsipras, the Leader of the Official Opposition Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Chairman of the Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs Mr. Kostas Douzinas.
The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Kamenos, the Alternate Minister of National Defence Mr. Dimitris Vitsas and the Chief of HNDGS Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis express their condolences to the families of the fallen officers.
