The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, ordered the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis, to proceed to extraordinary evaluations in the Armed Forces, for the ranks of Army and Air Force Lieutenant General and Major General, and HN Vice Admiral and Rear Admiral.
The aim of extraordinary evaluations is to accelerate the rhythm of implementation of the new Structure of the Armed Forces, in the context of the “2030 Agenda” regarding the reform of the Armed Forces, to rationalise the number of general officers, and to adapt to the modern operational demands of the, recently approved, new Structure of the Armed Forces.
