The Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis accompanied the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Tuesday 20 April 2021, which was Distinguished Visitors Day, to the multinational joint exercise “INIOCHOS 21”, conducted at the Andravida Air Base.
Being a high tension activity, exercise “INIOCHOS” is conducted on an annual basis and is executed in a simulation multi-threat environment, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of the forces involved.
Sending out a message of unity and deterrence, this year’s exercise is joined by a multitude of means and personnel, the US Air Force, the Air Force of the United Arab Emirates, of Israel, Spain, Cyprus, the Air and Space Force of France, the Royal Canadian Air Force, as well as by Austria, Egypt, Jordan, Romania and Slovenia as observers .
The exercise was also attended by HNDGS Chief General Konstantinos Floros, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence Mr. Antonios Economou, HAF Chief Lieutenant General Georgios Blioumis, HAGS Chief Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis, HNGS Chief Vice-Admiral Stylianos Petrakis, Ambassadors, Defence Attachés and military delegations from other countries.
