Upon decision of the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Giannis Kefalogiannis, and upon request of the Minister of Health, the prolonging of the secondment of Medical Doctor Officers up until 31 August 2024 is approved; namely one (1) officer with an anaesthesiology residency who has been seconded to the General Hospital of Xanthi and one (1) to the General Hospital of Serres, as well as one (1) officer with a pathology residency who has been seconded to the General Hospital of Xanthi and one (1) to the General Hospital of Drama.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Kefalogiannis, stated:
“The Ministry of National Defence keeps on actively being beside society whenever and wherever the need shall arise. Apart from their primary mission, which is no other than the protection of our Country’s territorial integrity, the Armed Forces stand out for their multi-level contribution, especially in particularly important areas of social life. The above decision is included within the framework of a broader strategy for the contribution of the Armed forces in the protection of the welfare of the citizens and their equal accessibility to the utmost right of health”.
