The new pay grades for Armed Forces Military Academy cadets were promulgated in the Government Gazette (Issue A, 198/05.12.2024), as was the raise in special night pay for the military personnel of the Armed Forces, upon amendment of the applicable provisions of Law 4472/2017 by Law 5162/2024.
Specifically, according to article 15 of Law 5162/2024, the salary of Higher Military Education Institution cadets is raised to 609 Euros, compared to 165 Euros previously, and 249 Euros for Higher NCO Military Academies, compared to 124 Euros previously. The raise quadruples and doubles, respectively, the heretofore salaries of Armed Forces Academy cadets and comes into force on 1/1/2025.
Furthermore, according to article 16 of Law 5162/2024, the special hourly night pay for Armed Forces military personnel is raised by 20%, starting from 1/1/2025.
