On Wednesday 20 January 2021, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, on behalf of the Greek State, and the President of the Civil Non Profit Company “CYCLOPS”, Mr. Anastassios-Aris Theodoridis, signed a Cooperation Memorandum, regarding the creation of a projection site referring to the everlasting relation of the Greeks with the sea, in Floisvos area, Palaio Faliro.

With the support and cooperation of the competent ministries, the people of the Hellenic shipping and the partnership of the private sector, the history of the Navy and Mercantile Marine, as well as of all people who through the course of Hellenism have embraced the sea, through their professional or amateurish action, will be hosted in its own modern site, where art, tradition and the future of both the naval spirit and our close relation with the sea as people will be projected.

The signing of the Cooperation Memorandum was held at the Ministry of National Defence, in the presence of Mr. Ioannis Zervakis, Adviser to the Prime Minister, having as subject the State’s cooperation with the Citizens’ Society, the Chief/HNGS, Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis HN, the Chief of Staff/HNDGS Lieutenant General Ioannis Gontikoulis and the Deputy Chief/HNGS Rear Admiral Georgios Kabourakis HN. The Minister of National Defence was represented by his Office Director, Mr. Athanassios Valaris, who was present during the signing of the Memorandum.
