The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos, during his presence at the Land Minefield Clearance Battalion, made the following statement:
“As these times are critical, I would like to clearly state the following: First of all, I will accept no ultimatums. Second, the prerequisite so as to reach any solution, which is our will, is that the country will not be disarmed, the personnel in the Armed Forces will not be pauperised and the special VAT scheme for the islands will be respected. Without these two prerequisites, no solution will be discussed”.
