“We have come here, in Ro island, today, together with the Chief HNDGS and the Military Commander of the region, on the occasion of the visit of Mr. Vasileios Pateras and Ms. Melina Travlou in the framework of the supply of services by AXION HELLAS group. It is a group that provides outstanding services, with doctors and so many other people, who assist the island with whatever is currently missing. Recently, the Athanasios and Marianna Martinou family, at its own initiative, made a major contribution here in Ro island; the improvement and maintenance of the outpost facilities, which has almost been completed.

But the most important thing is that we are here and we are declaring our presence on this island that is situated on the far edge of Greece, a few hundred meters away from the coast of Turkey and we are trying, through the presence of the army and all those people, through this contribution, to heighten the sense of security, even though this is unnecessary for the inhabitants, since they feel secure enough. However, visits and interactions with the rest of the world and the support from the rest of Greece and the Army in particular is in any case important and increases people’s feeling of security.
