On the occasion of the joint training of Navy Special Operations Forces from Greece, Cyprus, and the US from 11 to 29 January 2021 in the sea area of Souda, Crete, the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, made the following statement:
«The inclusion of Cypriot forces created an opportunity to expand our operational capabilities and cooperations with friendly partner nations in the region. When working together within the framework of joint military training activities, we are stronger”.
The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Charalambos Petrides, stated that such joint exercises provide invaluable experience for Armed Forces personnel; hence the Ministry of Defence of Cyprus looks forward to similar initiatives that contribute to the enhancement of security and stability in the region.
