“Today, it is a day of celebration for the Armed Forces; the day of Virgin Mary’s Feast, Patron Saint of the Armed Forces. I wish that She keeps under her protection all Officers, NCOs, Privates, Seamen and Airmen, National Guards, Retired personnel, as well as Reservists, to continue defending our country’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
 
Today, our thoughts are about the heroes of the Armed Forces who fell in war or in peace time. We stand by the personnel of the Armed Forces who give every day their own battle to keep us all safe.

I ought, however, to make a special reference to the families of the Armed Forces’ personnel who play their own important role in preserving the high morale, professionalism, strength and patriotism of the Armed Forces’ personnel.
