“On the feast day of the Presentation of Virgin Mary to the temple, I would like from the depth of my heart to wish you, officers, NCOs, conscripts, national guardsmen, civilian personnel and veterans of the Armed Forces a Happy Armed Forces Day.

I wish that Virgin Mary will always stand by the Armed Forces and our personnel’s families who are the key weapon system of our country, so that they will be able to defend our national sovereignty and in parallel assist the community.

At difficult times, the Armed Forces are present everywhere in our country and they do their best to contribute to our society and they have the support and acknowledgement by the Greek people.

When the Armed Forces, the people and Church are united, then a nation has nothing to fear”.
