The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos following the conclusion of the military parade  on the occasion of the 25th of March 1821 celebrations, made the following statement:

“The message conveyed today by the Greek people attending this magnificent parade is a message of unity of the people with the Armed Forces.

The Hellenic Armed Forces are ready to answer any challenge or effort  to offend the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

We are ready, because this way we are defending peace.

I want to congratulate the leadership of the Armed Forces, the Officers, NCOs, Territorial Guards and Draftees, because they swiftly correspond to the call of the Chiefs of the Armed Forces.

Simultaneously, the presence of all these people today at the parade demonstrates the undivided support  of the Greek nation.

Our National Defence is armoured mainly with the greatest weapons, the high morale and our personnel. We thank them for that.

We are honouring the heroes of 1821, we are honouring those defending our faith and our country”.
