The operational requirement for the supply of Carl Gustav Night Surveillance and Targeting Instruments commenced through an initial authorisation of supply issued by HAGS in 2008. It was then endorsed by all the governments, even the transitional ones, and in December 2016 after the authorisation of the Court of Auditors it was awarded to the Hellenic Defence Systems S.A.
