The Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos held a telephone conversation yesterday, Friday 3 March, with the new Minister of Defence of Cyprus Mr. Michalis Giorgallas.
The Minister of National Defence congratulated his Cypriot counterpart on his new post, he assured him that he looks forward to their close cooperation and invited him to visit Athens.
Mr. Panagiotopoulos also underlined that further enhancement of defence cooperation between Greece and Cyprus will contribute to safeguarding national interests and promoting security and stability in the broader
region, based on International Law.
