On Wednesday, 27 January 2021, the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, had a telephone conversation with the German Minister of Defence, Ms. Annegret Kramp – Karrenbauer, with whom he discussed recent developments in the East Mediterranean.
The Minister of National Defence briefed his German counterpart in detail on the Greek views concerning security and stability matters in the broader region. Regarding the dialogue with Turkey, Mr. Panagiotopoulos stressed that it is exclusively on the matter of the delimitation of the continental shelf and the Exclusive Economic Zone, on the basis of International Law.
