The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos, held today a telephone discussion with the Minister of Defence of Egypt, General Abdul Fatah Al-Sisi.
During their discussion, which was held at a friendly tone, Mr. Panagiotopoulos congratulated Mr. Al-Sisi for the role he and his country played to achieving cease-fire between Hamas and Israel.
Moreover, they exchanged views on matters concerning the broader region which interest both countries, as well as the strengthening of bilateral relations in the field of defence.
The Egyptian Minister affirmed his intention to pay an official visit to Athens soon, following an invitation extended by Mr. Panagiotopoulos.
