A technical team of members from the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence and the Hellenic Ministry of Citizen Protection, as well as the National Authority on Cybersecurity, arrived today at noon in Riyadh, led by the representative of the Deputy Minister of National Defence, to participate tomorrow Thursday November 5, 2026, in the scheduled 4th technical conference of the Working Group for the “Committee on Defence and Security” of the Supreme Council for the Strategic Cooperation between Greece and Saudi Arabia.
The meeting will go through all 19 Initiative Cards constituting the main body of the strategic cooperation between the two countries in the field of Defence and Security.
The scheduled participation of the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Thanasis Davakis, was cancelled due to unforeseen personal circumstances. Due to the significant and substantial context of the Working Group conference and by personal order of the Deputy Minister, the technical team which would accompany him, travelled alone, for the regular conduct of the critical contacts, at the technical level, and the unhindered progression of the strategic partnership of Greece with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
