The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Hardalias will go to the island of Karpathos, so as to attend the events in honour and memory of the Heroic Captain of the Air Force Konstantinos Iliakis, as a Representative of the Hellenic Government. These events are cohosted by the Hellenic Air Force General Staff and the Municipalities of Karpathos and Chania, on the occasion of the 16th anniversary since his death and they will take place on Monday 23 May 2022.
After the end of the events on Karpathos, the Deputy Minister of National Defence will go to the island of Kinaros, where he will pay homage to the three heroic Officers of the Hellenic Navy who Fell On Duty and he will meet the island’s only inhabitant, Ms Rinio (Ms Eirini Katsotourchi).
