The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Hardalias, today, Monday 13 February 2023, in the context of his contact with members of the Armed Forces and enlisted soldiers, visited the premises of Army Formations and Units in Grevena and Kozani.
In particular and while accompanied by the Commanders of the 1st Army/EU–OHQ Lieutenant General Ioannis Tsioplios and of C’ Army Corps/NRDC-GR Lieutenant General Paris Kapravelos, went to the premises of:
– The 9 Motorised Brigade in Kozani.
– The 523 Motorised Infantry Battalion in Mavrodendri – Kozani.
– The 586 Motorised Infantry Battalion in Grevena.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence, in the context of the visits, was briefed by the Commanders of the 9 Motorised Brigade Brigadier General Eleftherios Pinakis, the 523 Motorised Infantry Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Paris Ntafis and the 586 Motorised Infantry Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Georgios Savvidis, for the organisation, the mission and the current activities of the Formation and the Units correspondingly, while he had the opportunity to converse with members of the Armed Forces, enlisted soldiers and members of the National Guard.
During his visit to the 523 Motorised Infantry Battalion, the Commands of the 1st Infantry Regiment, the 10th Mobilisation Unit, the 9th Engineer Company and the Kozani and Ptolemaida National Guard Battalions were also present.
Furthermore, Mr Hardalias met with His Eminence the Metropolitan of Grevena Mr David and the Mayor of Grevena Mr Georgios Dastamanis.
