The Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, within the framework of daily contacts with members of the Armed Forces, visited today, Wednesday 13 April 2022, the headquarters of the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) at “MAJOR GENERAL CHRISTODOULOS TSIGANTES” camp in Athens, accompanied by the Commander of the Special Warfare Command, Lieutenant General Georgios Tsitsikostas.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence was briefed by the JSOC Commander, Major General Georgios Manouras, on the organization, the mission, the current training and operational activities, as well as on the timeline and the progress of the renovation works of the newly established Joint Command’s facilities.
In the context of the visit, Mr. Hardalias had a tour at the Headquarter’s areas, as well as to the workshop of the Technical Corps Company of the Command’s Support Unit, with the particularly important task of supporting, monitoring and maintaining the floating and diving equipment of all Special Forces’ Units, but also of all Units of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands. Moreover, he spoke to and exchanged wishes with members of the Command on the occasion of the upcoming Holy Week and Easter.
