The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Chardalias conducted, today Monday 28 March 2022, visits to the Hellenic Naval Academy in Piraeus and to the Hellenic Naval NCOs Academy in Skaramagas, accompanied by the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis.
In the context of the visits, Mr Chardalias was briefed by the Commanders of the Academies, Rear Admiral Ioannis Pattas (Hellenic Naval Academy) and Captain Charalambos Gavalas (Hellenic Naval NCOs Academy), on the organisation, the programmes of military – naval and academic training and their current activities. Afterwards, he was given a tour of their facilities, while he also talked with their members and briefly addressed the students of the Academies.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence congratulated the Commands and the members of the Naval Academy and Naval NCOs Academy, for their exceptional work in the production of knowledge and the promotion of research in the Naval science and technology, which both result in an enduring yield of highly capable, cultured with the Naval spirit and professionally proficient in the Naval art, Officers and NCOs, who staff our Hellenic Navy’s Units.
