The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, will travel to Brussels, where tomorrow, Tuesday 20 May 2025, will participate in the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union in its Defence Configuration.
During the meeting, the Defence Ministers will exchange views regarding the Defence Readiness of the European Union, the implementation of the White Paper and the ReArm Europe plan. They are also expected to discuss the current developments in Ukraine, in the presence of the NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, with the participation (via VTC) of the Ukrainian Defence Minister, Rustem Umerov.
After the end of the Meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union in its Defence Configuration, a meeting of the Steering Board of the European Defence Agency will follow (EDA).
