By decision of the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, a three-day mourning period has been declared in the Greek Armed Forces (from 25 to 27 July 2023) for the loss of lives in the line of duty of Hellenic Air Force Officers and pilots of the Canadair CL-215 firefighting aircraft, while carrying out firefighting operations on the Greek island of Evia.
