April 19, 2023

The Ministry of National Defence announces that it will carry on the “Healthcare for All by the Armed Forces”, a Primary Health Care Programme for the inhabitants of small islands, for the year 2023.

In the context of this programme, ensured by the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, a joint mobile group of Military Doctors (various specialisations) and Nurses from the Armed Forces will visit the complex of the islands Tilos, Nisyros, and Halki, from 28 April to 2 May 2023.

Respective missions will be programmed for the second and third trimester of this year, for complexes of small islands in the Aegean.

The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, in the context of this ongoing activity, said the following:

“The political and military leadership of the Armed Forces always try to ensure and enhance goods, such as health. With a sense of responsibility for the Greeks living at the borderline, who face particular living conditions, we are by they side, and always will be. Their safety, at all levels, is among our goals. Besides, health is safety, health is an asset.”
