The Ministry of National Defence announces the beginning of “Healthcare for All by the Armed Forces“, a primary healthcare programme for the inhabitants
of small islands.
In the context of this programme, ensured by the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, a mobile group of Military Doctors (various specialisations) and Nurses from the Armed Forces will visit the complex of the islands Agathonissi, Lipsoi, Arkioi and Pserimos, within April-May 2022.
Respective missions will be programmed for the second and third trimester of this year, for small islands’ complexes of the Aegean and the Ionian Sea.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, in the context of materialising this new activity, said:
“It is our duty to be by the side of the inhabitants of our borderline islands, not only ensuring their safety, but also contributing to their health care”.
