The Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos and the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, attended:

–       The handover ceremony between the outgoing Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, Admiral (retired) Stylianos Petrakis HN and the incoming Chief, Vice Admiral Ioannis Drymousis HN, which was held at the Hellenic Naval Academy in Piraeus.

–       The handover ceremony between the outgoing Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, General (retired) Charalampos Lalousis and the incoming Chief, Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis, which was held at the Hellenic Army Academy at Vari, Attica.

The ceremony was also attended by the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, the General Secretary of the Ministry of National Defence, Mr. Antonios Oikonomou
and the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General Themistoklis Bourolias.

The ceremonies were also attended by political parties’ representatives, MPs, former National Defence Ministers and Deputy Ministers, Chiefs of Security Forces, foreign states’ Defence Attachés, Honorary Chiefs,
Junior and Senior Armed Forces Officers, clergymen, as well as Regional and Local Self-Administration representatives.
