The Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos received in his office today, Monday 14 March 2022, NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges (ASG/ESC),
Mr. David van Weel.
Earlier, NATO’s Assistant Secretary General had participated in a work meeting with the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, also attended by the Director of the MOD’s General Directorate of Defence Investments and Armaments, Vice Admiral (ret.) Aristidis Alexopoulos HN, the President of the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos” Mr. Giorgos Nounessis, and Officer at NATO’s Innovation Unit Mr. Moritz Zimmermann.
At their work meeting, which was very cordial, they exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, focusing on the enhancement of NATO’s defence innovation, by developing advanced dual-use technologies in the defence field, at Alliance level.
The current geopolitical developments, regional and international issues were also discussed.
