Her Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou visited the base of the 332nd Squadron, on Thursday 24 November 2022, in which the new eight fighter aircraft Rafale F3R have been integrated, at Tanagra Air Base. The President of the Republic was welcomed by the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Chardalias and the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff Lieutenant General Themistoklis Bourolias who represented the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Konstantinos Floros.
In the context of the visit, a briefing was held by the Commander of the 332nd Squadron Lieutenant Colonel Theodoros Christodoulou on the organization, the mission and the operational work of the Squadron, as well as on the capabilities of the new fighter aircraft Rafale F3R. The procurement and the integration of Rafale F3R aircraft opened a new chapter for the battle-worthiness and the readiness of our Hellenic Air Craft, upgrading and reinforcing its already enhanced effectiveness in conducting air operations, sending a strong message of deterrence to every direction.
A tour was also given in an exhibition of Rafale F3R aircraft and a visit was offered to the flight simulator of the 332nd Squadron. The President of the Republic and the Deputy Minister of National Defence conversed with pilots, engineers and the personnel of the Squadron.
The visit was also attended by the Chief of the Hellenic Tactical Air Force Lieutenant General Georgios Fasoulas and the Commander of the 114th Combat Wing Colonel Stefanos Ampouleris.
