The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Ioannis Kefalogiannis signed three decisions for the energy upgrade of the Hellenic Air Force infrastructures.
In particular, the Ministry of National Defence proceeds to the further enhancement of energy upgrade of the Tactical Air Force HQ Central Building, by accepting a 2.000.000 Euros tender, it commences the procedure of auctioning the energy upgrade project for the 251 Air Force General Hospital, estimated to cost 7.800.000 Euros and it awards the contest for the execution of the required installation works for the new air-conditioning, heating and ventilation system, in the premises of the 5th floor Surgeries at 251 Air Force General Hospital, including the Central Sterilisation system, as well as the securing of a back-up air-conditioning system for the new ICU of the Hospital, valued at 2.400.000 Euros.
The above constitute long-term projects, which will lead to the decrease of the facilities’ energy footprint and to resource conservation, which is a priority for the political leadership of the Ministry.
