The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, travels today, Thursday 8 February 2024, to London, where he will get in contact with, among others, British executives, as well as academics and experts on issues of defence technology, in view of the establishment of the innovation ecosystem in the Hellenic Armed Forces.
Furthermore, tonight, during his visit to London, Mr Dendias will attend (8/2/2024) an event for the Greek language, which is hosted, at the ambassadors residence, by the Embassy of Greece in the United Kingdom, where the event speaker will be the author Victoria Hislop.
Moreover, the Minister of National Defence will meet with the (9/2/2024) Director General of the Imperial War Museums, Caro Howell, with whom he will talk about the prospect of cooperation with our country’s War Museums and the provision of technical know-how, particularly in view of the planned changes at the Athens War Museum and the operational upgrade of facilities.
Finally, Mr Dendias will meet (12/2/2024), during a working breakfast at the ambassador’s residence in London, with the Minister of State for the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom, James Heappey, responsible, among others, for the Operational Policy of the country’s Armed Forces. The meeting’s agenda includes issues on the cooperation regarding technology and research, as well as operation “Prosperity Guardian” at the Red Sea.
