The Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis conducted visits to Lesbos and Chios islands, on Friday 13 March 2020.
During his visits, the Deputy Minister of National Defence visited the HQs of 98 Higher National Guard Battalions Command (Lesbos), of 96 Higher National Guard Battalions Command (Chios) and the Mytilene Port Authority, where he was briefed on their activities, in the context of countering migration flows.
Furthermore, he conducted a visit to the “PANAGIA” Surveillance Outpost, while he also participated in day and night operational sailings by crafts and floating assets of the Army, the Navy and the Port Authority.
