The Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos visited today, Thursday 29 December 2022, the 251 Air Force General Hospital and the 401 Athens Army General Hospital.
At the 251 Air Force General Hospital, he listened to the New Year’s Eve Carols sung by the Airmen, he observed a short briefing on its activities and he visited patients in their wards and exchanged wishes while offering gifts.
Thereafter, Mr Panagiotopoulos went to the 401 Athens Army General Hospital where he was received with New Year’s Eve Carols and traditional dances by members of the “Chorostasi” Folk Music and Dance Group of Glyfada. The Minister wished a happy New Year to the medical personnel and to the patients, to whom he gave commemorative gifts and wished a swift recovery.
The visits were attended by the Deputy Chief of HNDGS Vice Admiral Ioannis Drimousis representing the Chief of HNDGS, the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis, the Deputy Chief of HAFGS Major General Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, as well as the Director of the Medical Directorate of HNDGS Major General Dimitrios Chatzigeorgiou.
