On Friday, 22 February 2019, the Alternate Minister of National Defence Panagiotis Rigas attended a women’s basket-ball game, between AEK Peristeriou team and the Armed Forces National Team, at Anthoupoli sports hall. The National Team won, with a 26-39 score. The game was conducted for charity reasons, for the collection of food and clothes, to be distributed to the families supported by the Aghia Anna Church, in Peristeri. The Alternate Minster of National Defence awarded commemorative presents to A. Pahatouridis, the mayor of Peristeri, N. Thanopoulos, the team’s president and Father Antonios. The mayor of Peristeri awarded a commemorative present to the Alternate Minister of National Defence and awarded a prize to the captain of the Armed Forces National Team.
