The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Chardalias attended, today Wednesday 27 July 2022, the funeral service of the Honorary Chief of HAFGS, former Iraklio MP with PASOK and for consecutive years the Deputy Minister of National Defence, General (retired) Dimitrios Apostolakis, which was performed at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Saint Minas in Iraklio.
The deceased was bestowed the rank of honorary Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff and the ceremony was performed at public expense at the care of the Armed Forces.
The ceremony, which was officiated by His Eminence the Archbishop of Crete Mr Evgenios B΄, was honoured by the presence of the President of PASOK- Movement for Change Mr Nikos Androulakis, the Iraklio MP Mr Vasilios Kerkeroglou, the MEP Mr Manolis Kefalogiannis, the Head of the Region of Crete Mr Stavros Arnaoutakis, the Chief of HAFGS Lieutenant General Themistoklis Bourolias also as representative of the Chief of HNDGS and high-ranking Officers, active and retired, of the General Staffs of the Armed and Security Forces.
